Ricoh Christchurch Tree Planting

10 May 2019

A group of keen staffers from Ricoh Christchurch joined other enthusiasts on Sunday, 6 May to plant trees in the Styx Mill Conservation Reserve.

The reserve, noted for its regenerating native bush and wildlife habitat, is part of the Styx River restoration project, an initiative of Trees for Canterbury and Christchurch City Council.

This is the fourth year that Ricoh Christchurch has been involved and families worked hard digging holes, mulching and adding protection from rabbits for the 1600 trees that were planted throughout the morning.

It wasn’t all hard work and no play, with everyone’s efforts being rewarded with a sausage sizzle lunch before they departed to enjoy the rest of their sunny Sunday afternoon.
