Ricoh e-Reader

Ricoh New Zealand also offers local customers the facility to automate their monthly meter readings, and monitor their toner levels by installing a simple program on their network. e-Reader communicates this information to Ricoh via e-mail.

1. Finds Ricoh machines and collects their readings
e-Reader will scan across chosen network ranges and find the Ricoh devices for you. This allows machines to be automatically registered into e-Reader, and dynamic IP addresses are no problem. On a scheduled date/time (14th of each month), these readings are then e-mailed to Ricoh.

2. Low toner alert
For most Ricoh machines e-Reader will check the toner status at chosen intervals (eg. 15 minutes) and e-mail Ricoh if the machine is low on toner so a replacement can be sent.

e-Reader Compatibility

e-Reader is compatible with most Ricoh devices connected to a network. The only models not compatible with e-Reader for meter readings and low toner:

• Aficio 200/250/400/401/500
• Aficio 6513/3006/3506/4006/4106/4506 (with Fiery Controllers)
• Ricoh analogue copiers

 
The only models not compatible with e-Reader for low toner alerts:

• Aficio 1013/1013F/1015/1018/1018D
• Afico 1085/1105
• Aficio 220/270/340/450/551/650/700/850
• Aficio Printer 204/1600/2000/2700/3200/4500/4510
