Terms of Use

(a) CUSTOMER HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE PRODUCTS ARE INTENDED TO PROVIDE END-USERS WHO ARE EARLY ADOPTERS WITH ACCESS TO A NOVEL TECHNOLOGY THAT IS CONTINUALLY BEING REFINED. WHILE SUCH END-USERS NEED NOT POSSESS ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS PRIOR TO OPERATING PRODUCTS, THEY SHOULD BE WILLING TO LEARN, TO INTERACT WITH THE MANUFACTURER COMMUNITY AND TO INNOVATE. PRODUCTS ARE KNOWN TO FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER OR RICOH NZ PROVIDES A 3 MONTH MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.

(b) END-USERS MAY REQUIRE A HIGH LEVEL OF PRODUCT SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT FROM RESELLER. AS BETWEEN MANUFACTURER AND RESELLER, RESELLER ASSUMES SOLE RESPONSIBILTY FOR ADDRESSING WARRANTY CLAIMS BY, AND PROVIDING PRODUCT SUPPORT TO, END-USERS OR THOSE WHO PURCHASED PRODUCTS DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY THROUGH RESELLER.

In taking delivery or ownership of Equipment manufactured by MakerBot Industries, LLC (MakerBot), a company incorporated in the United States of America, the Customer:

  1. Agrees to assist Ricoh in complying with decrees, statutes, rules and regulations of the government of the United States of America and agencies thereof relating to the sale of the Equipment by:
    • maintaining the necessary records to comply with such decrees, statutes and rules and regulations; and
    • not reselling, re-exporting, transferring or otherwise disposing of the Equipment except in compliance with such decrees, statutes and rules and regulations
  2. The Customer also hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Ricoh from any and all fines, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) incurred by Ricoh as a result of any breach of the above undertakings; and
  3. Understands and accepts that Ricoh provides only a 12 month (from date of sale) warranty in respect of the Equipment, and that in view of the nature of the Equipment, such warranty covers only manufacturing defects. Parts found to be faulty will be replaced or repaired at Ricoh’s sole discretion. Ricoh provides no warranty, express or implied, as to the performance of the Equipment, its merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, Ricoh is not responsible for normal wear and tear of the Equipment from operation, nor damage to it resulting from any negligent or wilful act or omission of the operator.
