Christchurch Earthquake Bulletin
Information for customers affected by the Christchurch earthquake
Ricoh New Zealand's
Christchurch branch is operational and the following is to inform customers
affected by the weekend's earthquake about service and support.
Ricoh's office building has sustained minor damage. Power is off currently
and may not be restored untill Wednesday. The warehouse is largely undamaged,
with most staff operating from this facility. Power and all IT services
are operational as usual, so operations are largely unaffected, other
than an increased demand for support.
The Christchurch office and warehouse facilities are outside the CBD,
so are not directly affected by the access restrictions to the CBD area.
Customer Service and Support
Customer Service Engineers are providing service and support as usual
as well as assessing damaged machines. Service calls can be placed by
calling the usual toll free number 0800 - 80 76 76.
Please note technical service provided for equipment damaged in the earthquake
is not covered by service maintenance contracts and is chargeable. However,
in most cases we would expect this to be covered by insurance. Please
check with your provider.
Consumables Supply
Toner orders can placed by calling 0800 - 80 76 76 as usual. This will
be despatched from our Auckland warehouse with next day delivery.
Damaged Machines
Customer with machines that have sustained damage should contact Customer
Service on 0800 - 80 76 76 and ask to talk to the Christchurch Co-ordinator.
Ricoh Staff and Customers
All Ricoh staff are reported to be safe and are at work as usual. We take
this opportunity to pass on our sincere best wishes to all affected customers
during this time.
