October 23, 2012

Ricoh becomes an official sponsor of the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation Ricoh New Zealand Managing Director Mike Pollok pictured with Halberg Activity Fund recipient Jaden Movold and Halberg Disability Sport Foundation Chairman Wayne Boyd – taken at an event to launch the Foundation’s new name, branding and operational model. Ricoh New Zealand has become a sponsor of Kiwi charity, Halberg Disability Sport Foundation (formally the Halberg Trust).

Ricoh proudly supports the Foundation's vision and that of its founder Sir Murray Halberg – to give all New Zealanders, regardless of their ability, the right to participate and engage in sport.

Ricoh New Zealand Managing Director Mike Pollok says getting behind this charity fits with Ricoh's belief in contributing to the communities in which it operates.

"Supporting sporting events and encouraging participation are key pillars of our sponsorship philosophy and we are very much looking forward to getting involved in the Foundation’s wide range of activities," says Mr Pollok.

The Halberg Disability Sport Foundation is delighted to welcome Ricoh as an official sponsor of its leading edge work, enhancing the lives of physically disabled young people, their families and communities, by enabling them to participate in sport.

"Relationships with our sponsors go well beyond the support that they provide and without their genuine commitment to our cause, we would struggle to continue our important work in the community. Ricoh also has an authentic desire to contribute to the full range of the Foundation's beneficial activities and to celebrate its achievements," notes new CEO Geoff Burgess.
