Energy Saving Technology

Quick Start-Up technology

Quick Start-Up (QSU) technology achieves shorter warm-up and recovery times making Ricoh devices both energy saving and user friendly. QSU reduces your costs and time.

Features of QSU technology

The fusing roller that fixes the toner on the paper has been thinned as much as possible to shorten the temperature rise time. The temperature of the roller is more effectively controlled by using twin heaters. A new low-temperature fixing toner has also been adopted.

PxP™ Toner

Ricoh developed the industry's first polyester polymerisation toner (PxP toner), which is manufactured using polyester resin to ensure higher copy/print quality. Compared with traditional toner particles, the CO2 required to manufacture PxP toner is reduced by approximately 35%. Also, thanks to the uniform thermal properties obtained by the use of polyester resin, the fixing temperature can be lowered.

PxP toner technology is available in our recently released multifunctional devices.
